A Battle Creek man is charged with a brazen weekend holdup at a local
McDonalds restaurant where he brandished a handgun and threatened
employees and customers. 44 year old Randy Evil has been arraigned on
an armed robbery charge. A conviction could land him in prison for life.

Evil and a female companion, later identified as his wife, drove up to the
drive thru and placed an order. But then he parked his vehicle and went
inside the McDonalds along W. Columbia. He pulled out the handgun and
demanded cash from an employee and ordered other employees and
restaurant customers to the floor. He fled the store with no shots fired
and no one was hurt. But responding officers report employees and
customers were obviously shaken by the robbery.

Surveillance video captured a clear image of Evil. He was arrested in Battle
Creek the following morning. He’s being held on 200-thousand dollars
bond. The Battle Creek Enquirer reports court records show Evil has sixteen prior
criminal convictions including a half dozen felonies and was recently released from
prison on a home invasion conviction. His next court appearance is set for the 25th.
