Battle Creek Man Killed In Snowmobile Crash
A Battle Creek man is dead after his snowmobile crashed in the Upper Penninsula Tuesday.
61-year-old Louis Monaweck was travelling with a group of snowmobilers on a road near Bay Mills in Chippewa County. When they crested a hill, Monaweck swerved to avoid an oncoming truck, but was thrown from his sled and run over.
Authorities say that it doesn’t appear there was any wrongdoing on the part of the truck driver.
