The City of Battle Creek is all set for its annual family friendly Halloween event tonight.
The nasty weather forecast however is forcing the city to change the location for this year’s “Trunk Or Treat”. Originally scheduled for a parking lot across from Battle Creek Central High, the new location for tonight’s Halloween event is at the Festival Market Square.  The awnings along Market Square may provide some cover from the rain and snow. The square is downtown at the corner of McCamly and Jackson streets. The parking garage next door will have its gates open from 5 to 7:30pm for free parking.

This is a fun and safe alternative to trick-or-treating. The kids will be interacting with police officers and firefighters along the way.The event has become so popular that the Battle Creek Police Department is hoping you’ll donate to help cover the event costs. Financial donations can be directed to the Battle Creek Police Department Law Enforcement Community Project Fund, a fund of the Battle Creek Community Foundation.
