The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Battle Creek and much of southwest Michigan until 1pm Thursday. According to the forecast, temperatures will drop and the winds will pick up as the morning goes on.

A dusty covering of new snow - totaling about an inch or less - blanketed the area overnight, and the National Weather Service cautions of occasional snow showers Thursday that could add to that, though accumulations are not predicted to total more than an inch.
