Pepper Spray Foils Attempted Abduction In Comstock

Kalamazoo County authorities are attempting to track down suspects after an attempted abduction over the weekend.

WOODTV reports that the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says that around 2pm Saturday, a woman had been jogging along E. MN Ave. near S 31^st St. in Comstock, when a vehicle parked on the side of the road a little ahead of her; she told police that the car had driven past her a few minutes earlier.

As she approached, a male suspect got out and began chasing after her. The victim had been carrying pepper spray, and was able to repel the suspect with it; the suspects then fled in their vehicle.

The male suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s, standing around 5 foot 8, with brown curly hair. The vehicle’s driver, a female in her 20’s, was described as having a medium build with straight brown hair. The vehicle they drove off in is described as a 2007 black sedan with a spoiler and white markings on its rear.
