Consumers Energy Touts Modern Ways to Restore Power, Energy Saving Programs
Power outages are inconvenient. But, despite the infrastructure's vulnerabilities damage by weather, it's still the best around.
That's the word from Guy Packard, Consumers Energy vice president of electrical operations. With demands on electricity more integral than ever, Packard says Consumers is busy trying to help folks place less demand on the system by using less energy.
One of the ways is by converting old light bulbs to LED bulbs, producing an energy savings. Another is to make better use of the smart meters that Consumers has installed in many homes.
