CBS News is reporting on a new survey by the American Customer Index that found that Americans “hate” our government as much as Internet service providers.

The director of research at ACSI is quoted in the article stating:

"Satisfaction is linked to broader goals in the political system that it wants to maximize, like confidence and trust, it's much more difficult to govern if the entire population dislikes you."

Do you “hate” the U.S. government?

“Hate” is a harsh word, how do you hate an inanimate object?  You may not like the way our government is run.  Why?  Because you are dissatisfied with the people who are running it.  The Constitution is a great document, a blue print on how our government should be run, problem is we no longer run our government as it is laid out in the Constitution.  I believe it is the best way for a government to be run, it is the people who are running it in which we should have an issue with.

According to the survey the Department of the Interior received the highest score and the Treasury (IRS) received the lowest.

By the way the survey was based on more than 2,000 people who took it.

So the question again is do you “hate” the U.S. government or dislike the way the people elected to run it are running it?

Let’s discuss this today on my program, The Live with Renk show, which airs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon, to let me know your thoughts at (269) 441-9595.

Or please feel free to start a discussion and write your thoughts in the comment section.
