Enbridge Line 5, Underwater

Enbridge Energy is nearly ready to begin replacing a pipeline that runs under an eastern Michigan river. The Times Herald reports, Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline cuts through Marysville and the St. Clair River. A company official says the company is working to secure the proper state and federal permits for the project, although construction will not likely start, until the end next year.
