Event Will Aid In Locating Man Missing From Allegan For 28 Years
Richard Eugene Dale Hitchcock went missing December 22, 1990. He was last seen leaving the Riverfront bar in Allegan. His vehicle was located in a nearby parking lot a few days later with Christmas gifts still on the seat of the car. At the time of his disappearance, Richard was 21 years old, had red hair, blue eyes, stood 6 feet tall, and weighed 135 lbs. He is believed to be a victim of homicide and his remains have never been found. The search and investigation into Richie's disappearance has remained ongoing for the last 28 years.
A dinner will be held on March 23 at Allegan Eagles #2315, 110 Chestnut St. from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The dinner is to help raise funds to increase the reward being offered for information leading to locating Richie. The reward being offered at this time is $5,000. Through fundraising, friends and family hope to be able to increase the reward to $10,000. There will be silent auction, live music, raffles and a chicken dinner with all the fixings. The event is open to the public.
