The former president of a Motorcycle Club is now being investigated in the death of his mother.

Joseph Weeks, who is out on bond for embezzlement charges, is suspected of possibly causing the death of Evelyn Weeks.  Evelyn Weeks’ body was exhumed from a North Carolina cemetery, and an autopsy was performed at the WMU Homer Stryker School of Medicine.

She died in September 2012 while living in the same Kalamazoo County home as her son.  Police say they have reason to believe that the death wasn’t natural, and that Evelyn was poisoned.

No arrests have been made as of yet.

Joseph Weeks was the President of the Sons of Malta Motorcycle Club, and is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a charity associated with the club.
