Man Sentenced In Murder Of Nicole Gates

A Battle Creek man will be spending the rest of his life behind bars. Monday afternoon, Shawn Pike was sentenced to life in prison in a Calhoun County Court.

Pike was found guilty in the stabbing death of 27 year old Nicole Gates, inside of a gas station last year.

Investigators say Pike was attempting to steal lottery tickets and cigarettes from the store.
