Monday Night Football Cat Signs with Lions, Could ‘Save the Season’
He's the hero we didn't know that we needed here in Michigan.
Yesterday, in a room packed full of reporters and crazy cat ladies, Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia took to the podium to announce that the black cat famously seen on Monday Night Football has signed a two-year contract with the team.
"We think that this little guy has the potential to bring the team to the Super Bowl. I mean, we're the only NFC team that's never played in the big game. He had 117 rushing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 9 lives. We need him. He has the potential to save the season," said Patricia.
His deal includes a signing bonus of catnip, a stainless steel litter box in the locker room and complete run of Ford Field on non-game days. Good luck, pal. you're gonna need it.
