Crews spayed Area 4-1 in Calhoun County on Thursday night as planned.  Tonight, Friday October 4th, they plan to spray Areas 4-4 and 4-3.  According to the Calhoun County Health Department, the state has confirmed the following areas were completed last night:  Area 2-1 in Barry County and  Area 4-1 in Calhoun County.

Tonight (Friday Oct 4), the areas in Calhoun County are 4-4 and 4-3.

Area 4-4 is bordered by Kalamazoo County on the west, Columbia Avenue on the North, 11 Mile Road on the East, and "H" Drive South on the South.

Area 4-3 is further south, and much smaller.  It is between Athens and Burlington. The area is bordered by 3 1/2 Mile Road on the West, K Drive South on the North, 8 1/2 Mile on the East, and U Drive South on the South.

Spraying is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm, but could vary depending on wind and weather conditions.

Other areas slated for treatment tonight 10/4/19 are:
o Areas 1-1 and 1-2 in Allegan County.
o Areas 13-2 and 13-3 in Van Buren County.
o Areas 8-1 and 8-2 in Kent County. (weather alternative)
o Areas 10-1, 10-2 and 10-3 in Montcalm County. (weather alternative)
o Area 11-1 in Newaygo County. (weather alternative)

These schedules are weather dependent and may change.

County officials said on their Facebook Page that "Opt Out" requests received prior to Wednesday night would be honored.  That means crews will not spray within 1000 feet of an "Opt Out" area.
