In its first-ever such gathering meant to give young, future career-women confidence and prepare them for their future work, Olivet College is set to host a daylong event targeted at that group.

"Cultivating Women Leaders" is expected to be an annual event hosted by Olivet College. This year's theme is "Embracing our inner strength", and is set for Friday, March 3, 2017.

Traci Corey, wife of Olivet College President Dr. Steven Corey, has taken the reigns of the event as chair of the college's Presidential Women's Leadership Initiative.

The event is free to Olivet College students and prospective students and $50 each for other attendees. Registration has closed, but interested parties can email Traci Corey (cml@olivetcollege.edu) to inquire about potential overflow attendance.

Women from various careers - including some Olivet alumna - will speak at the event, as well as keynote speaker, two-time Olympic silver-medalist Danielle Scott-Arruda.
