Snowfall across the region yesterday led to numerous crashes and traffic problems.

Slippery conditions on I-94 and U.S. 131 caused many vehicles to slide out of control causing mostly minor injuries.

A tow-truck driver suffered serious injuries when his truck was hit by a semi on U.S. 131 near Plainwell, and a Constantine woman was killed near Schoolcraft when her car was hit by another that had spun out of control.

In Battle Creek, a man crashed into a semi on Skyline Drive and suffered a severe head injury. The road was closed for about three hours while crews were on the scene.
