Is cash king or should stores be able to limit what they will accept as currency? A Kalamazoo business has posted a controversial sign.

Bronco Liquors has this message neatly typed on a notice posted on their door:

We will not be accepting money retrieved from socks, underwear or bras.

-Thank You, Bronco Liquor

I guess I've seen women use a boob purse before but, I mean, who is keeping money in their socks? Does "underwear" mean men are doing this too? (That seems to be a much more disturbing picture- is that wrong?) Does a merchant have the right to refuse legal tender if it is covered in germs and perspiration or are they required by law to complete the transaction?

Do you support this decision or is it none of the clerk's business where your cash has been?
