It was a surprise to see Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson retire after last season. One of the top receivers in the game. Being one of the best, it was great to recently see the respect given to him by former Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman.
The Detroit Lions rebuild just got a little tougher. Calvin Johnson made it official on Tuesday morning, filing retirement papers with the NFL. He retires at 30, one year younger than Barry Sanders when he retired.
