Barton Deiters was diagnosed and hospitalized with West Nile Virus back in September. As he's still there, a GoFundMe was set up to help his family keep up with expenses.

Barton Deiters of WOOD TV8 has been in the hospital for the last two weeks as doctors treat symptoms of West Nile. There currently is no cure for the mosquito-borne disease.

Health officials confirm an Allegan County resident has died from West Nile virus, marking the fourth West Nile Virus death in Michigan this year.
