GasBuddy, the go-to app for finding fill-ups, has found each state's favorite fuel stops that double as coffee shops.

Convenience and caffeine go together as we cram more and more activities into our already busy schedules. "Coffee statistics show that among coffee drinkers the average consumption in the United States is 3.1 cups of coffee per day. Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee per day making the United States the leading consumer of coffee in the world." GasBuddy's research shows that "coffee is the third-most purchased beverage at gas station convenience stores behind carbonated soft drinks and water."

Where do we love to get our coffee on the go? Michigan was the only state that picked Speedway coffee as a favorite. Premium house blend, dark roast, Columbian, espresso blend and decaf are usually on the warmers when you stop in. You can always grab a French vanilla or mocha iced latte from the machine or pour yourself any one of fifteen specialty beverages available. (If they're not cleaning the machines.)

in the rest of the country, "for the third consecutive year, Texas-based Buc-ee’s leads the overall rankings with the highest rated gas station java in the nation. On the state level, there is a tie: Penn.-based Wawa and Okla.-based QuikTrip captured the top spot in six states each, followed by Mass.-based Cumberland Farms with the best brew in five Northeastern states."
