Investigation into a domestic assault led to the discovery of a large amount of drugs and weapons in Calhoun County.

Around 8:15pm Monday, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a residence in the 13,000 block of Michigan Ave. in Marshall Township, on reports of someone assaulting another person with a baseball bat.

A search warrant of the residence was executed, and inside deputies found an illegal marijuana growing operation, several pounds of processed cannabis, and prescription pills. Several firearms were also found.

Several warrants are being sought for the drug and weapons charges, along with assault charges. No arrests were mentioned by authorities, as of yet.
