BC VA: ‘We’re Doing A Good Job’

A spokesman for the Battle Creek Veterans Administration Medical Center tells The Richard Piet Show on WBCK, the national scrutiny over the VA prompted the local facility to submit to an internal review. The results were good, according to Damian McGee.

"We did an internal review...and were found to being doing things correctly," McGee said. Having said that, he also said the review uncovered some areas where improvements could be made. "We're always looking for ways to improve, but overall we were able to say 'we're going a pretty good job,'" he said.

McGee's Veteran's Day comments come at the same time the VA secretary is calling for a complete overhaul of the administration nationally, including the dismissal of some 1000 employees.
