Interim Assistant City Manager Named for Battle Creek

The City of Battle Creek has temporarily filled another leadership post. Current Finance Director Linda Morrison has been named Interim Assistant City Manager, taking on the job formerly held by Assistant City Manager Jim Ritsema, who became Kalamazoo’s City Manager in November. Morrison became the Finance Director in July of 2012 and has worked for the city for 14 years, all in the Finance Department. She will work closely with Interim City Manager Susan Bedsole while the city looks for permanent replacements.
