No Injuries In Apartment Fire

No one was hurt when a fire started in an apartment in Battle Creek last night.  Firefighters responded to the scene on Chestnut just before midnight.

Investigators say the residents saw embers falling from the ceiling and ran out.  Emergency workers evacuated the neighboring apartments.

The fire was contained in the ceiling and the damage was limited.

The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical malfunction.
