Three people were hurt when a meth lab exploded in Burlington Township yesterday.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office reports that they responded to Bronson-Battle Creek shortly after 3am when the victims arrived.

Deputies say they believe a 45-year-old man was cooking meth in his home on 9 Mile Road when the explosion occurred, leaving him with severe burns to his face and hands.

A 42-year-old Battle Creek woman and her 27-year-old daughter were in the room and were treated for burns to their hands and legs.
