Detectives with the Calhoun County Major Crimes Task Force are continuing their request for help solving the weekend murder of 23 year old Amonte Bowser of Albion. A $1-thousand dollar reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Detectives say they have talked with a number of people who had gathered at a home on Cooper Street in Albion prior to the shooting. But they know there are more they have not connected with yet, and those witnesses may have crucial information.

Police say Amonte had gotten into a fight at an Albion Club earlier in the evening. When he went to the home along Cooper Street, he had a weapon with him. A second argument began, and then ended with Amonte being shot outside the home. He was later pronounced dead at a Kalamazoo Hospital. Anyone with information is asked to contact Albion Police or Albion Silent Observer.
