The Battle Creek Bombers were beaten on the road by the Lakeshore Chinooks, 12-6 last night.   

In a back-and-forth game, Lakeshore pulled away with multiple two-run inning spurts.

The Bombers struck first with two outs on an RBI triple by Jordan Getzelman (UC San Diego). Lakeshore scored three runs off Battle Creek starter Alex Smith (University of Memphis) in the bottom half of the first.

The Bombers came back with three to go up 4-3.  Alec Trela (University of Memphis) hit his first home run of the year.

Lakeshore scratched out two runs in the fourth to go up 5-4, but Jordan Getzelman hit his second homer in as many days to tie it at five.

Lakeshore added two more in the fifth to go up 7-5 and the Bombers had the bases loaded with no outs and failed to score in the sixth.

Lakeshore pulled away a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth to win it 12-6.

The Bombers will face Lakeshore again tonight at Kapco Park.
