Battle Creek Downtown Street Closings

Two downtown projects will cause temporary road closures today in Battle Creek.
The first closure involves the Milton apartments construction project.  Starting at 7 this morning…Jackson St. will be shut down between  McCamly and Capital Avenue, including sidewalks.  Contractors will be setting up a crane to lift air handling units to the top of the tower. Jackson should be re-opening sometime Tuesday.

The other closing starts during the noon hour as Capital Avenue is closing between from Michigan Avenue and State Street. Emergency vehicle and pedestrian traffic will also be blocked along that section of Capital. City busses running in that area are changing routes to work around the closing. Capital Avenue should be reopening for normal traffic sometime Monday
