Battle Creek Gets Check Toward Window Removal
The City of Battle Creek has the check to remove a controversial window in City Hall.
Assistant City Manager Ted Dearing was on hand to accept a check in the amount of $3,377.50 to assist with removal and replacement of a stained glass window medallion in City Hall.
City of Battle Creek spokesman Jessica Vanderkolk says the window is still in place and that they City doesn't have a scheduled time yet for removal.
Once the window is removed by Full Spectrum Stained Glass of Colon, it will be replaced with a mosaic medallion style similar to other windows in the building. The existing glass will then be kept at the Battle Creek Regional History Museum.
