The Battle Creek Bombers were rained out in St. Cloud, Minnesota on Wednesday, pushing the Northwood’s League World Series back a day.

One-game playoff wins over Rockford and Wisconsin Rapids earned the Bombers the right to play in the Summer Collegiate World Series for the first time since 2011.

The remarkable thing about that is that the team is down to only 14 players with players having to return home for school and injuries.

The two teams try again to play game one in St Cloud today at 5:05pm before returning home for Friday and Saturday World Series games in Battle Creek.  It’s a best of three series.
