Police in the Coldwater area are looking for a man who they say stole hunting equipment from a field.

The Michigan State Police say Sunday that hunting equipment was stolen from the field in the area of Newton Rd. and N Fox Rd. in Branch County’s Coldwater Township, sometime on the morning of October 18. A trail camera in the area captured a man around that time, and the MSP say this suspect might have been the culprit.

The suspect is an older white male with salt-and-pepper hair, who was seen wearing blue jeans and a black jacket with blue and green stripes on the arms. He was also seen wearing sunglasses.

The area where the items were stolen is rural and loosely populated, with most of the land taken up by fields and forests. It's located northeast of the City of Coldwater.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact the MSP Marshall Post.
