Dearborn Man Injured In Thursday Morning Shooting In Battle Creek
A man was hurt this morning in Battle Creek after he was shot while sitting in a vehicle.
The Battle Creek Police Department says that they learned of a man brought to Bronson Battle Creek in a private vehicle, just after 1am Thursday. The 36-year-old victim from Dearborn told police that he had been sitting in his vehicle in the 200 block of Oneita St, when a man wearing a hoodie approached the vehicle and produced a gun, firing several shots; several of the bullets hit the vehicle, and one ended up hitting the victim’s leg.
His injuries are described as non-life threatening.
The suspect has only been described as a man wearing a hoodie, and officers and K-9 units have already searched the area where the shooting occurred, so if you have anything to help authorities the BCPD asks that you contact either them or Silent Observer.
