The Obama Administration wants you to know what the federal government has done to help in the City of Detroit’s turnaround. A 60 page report was released on Saturday that details how a federal and local partnership that began in 2011 used financial, technical and other support helped the city emerge from the nation’s largest municipal bankruptcy. As the Associated Press reports, financial help included more than $260 million in federal funds to demolish 6,000 vacant homes.
