HS Football – Harper Creek Blitzes Through Lakeshore

Battle Creek's only city team left in the Michigan High School Athletic Association's football playoffs got to host a second game Friday with an familiar foe from the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference.

The Harper Creek Beavers looked to advance to the Regional Finals in Division 3 for the first time since 2012 hosting the Stevensville-Lakeshore Lancers in a battle of two state-ranked squads. That was also the year where the Lancers handed the Beavers a loss in their last meeting between the two schools.

The Beavers prevailed Friday night to advance to next week's Regional Final, earning their first win over Lakeshore in postseason play in three tries.
