A man is behind bars in Kalamazoo after a disturbance at a gentleman’s club over the weekend.

Around 2:30am Sunday, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the establishment in the 1300 block of Ravine Rd, on reports of a man with a gun. The manager of the business told police that the suspect had a gun in his waistband.

The man attempted to flee on foot into the woods near Douglas and Ravine when police arrived, but he was tackled into a stream by an officer, and taken into custody without further incident.

The 19-year-old Suspect from Grand Rapids was found to have a stolen firearm on his person, and will be facing a charge of resisting arrest, along with charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felony Firearm, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
