Rep. Dave Maturen (R-Brady Township) tells 95.3 WBCK he is concerned about the results of an U.S. Army Corps of Engineers study which looks into the Asian Carp problem at the Brandon Road Lock and Dam - a "critical point" between the Chicago waterways and the Great Lakes.

Maturen said the report, which is supposed to recommend a plan for dealing with the invasive species, was due out in February. The Corps has delayed release of the report. Maturen fears it is tied up with the Trump Administration budget, which cuts all funding for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
