Sports pundits, including those on Pistonpowerwed.com are giving the Pistons high marks for their draft, and not so high marks for the Red Wings. The Pistons drafted Duke shooting guard Luke Kennard Thursday night with the 12th overall pick.  Detroit did not have a second round pick.  The Red Wings chose Michael Rasmussen with the 9th overall pick in the draft.  It was their highest selection since 1990.  Rasmussen is a 6’6” power forward.  Sources, including Winngingitinmotown.com say Rasmussen has a big presence on the ice, is good on the power play and on defense, but note that the league is moving toward smaller and faster players.
