A Springfield man awaiting two separate trials for two separate incidents entered a plea in Calhoun County Court for one of the cases Tuesday. 23 year old Brady West pleaded no contest to a charge of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree for the assault of a 13 year old girl over two years ago.

According to the Battle Creek Enquirer, West was accused of sexually assaulting the young girl while they watched a movie in August 2016 at a home in Battle Creek while the girl was visiting West's sister. West faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on March 1.

West is also accused of injuring his 10 week old daughter Elenor last spring. 28-year-old Susan Moutz, the child's mother,  said she returned home from work on March 28th  and discovered her daughter had several broken blood vessels in her face. The infant was then taken to the hospital where doctors found facial injuries, evidence of five broken ribs in her back and a fractured leg.

West remains in the Calhoun County Jail awaiting trial.
