Are President Trump’s ‘Attacks’ On The Press ‘Stupid’ & ‘Dangerous’?
There are thousands of examples of the press getting things wrong either on purpose or they are very poor at their jobs. They either are intentionally lying to their readers and viewers, misrepresenting the facts, not reporting on the Democrat’s when they do the same thing or are outright bad at what they do.
The “news” media and press know they control the access and flow of information to the citizens of the United States and people around the world and they use that access and flow of information as a weapon.
The New York Times CEO Mark Thompson spoke out about President Trump for what he called his frequent attacks on the news media. He called President Trump’s pointing out the “news” media’s falsehoods "hostile, stupid but also dangerous."
He stated:
The president is entirely entitled to not like everything he reads in The New York Times, I get that...But actually isolating journalists, as a group, not just the Times, but the whole industry, is a really, frankly, hostile, stupid but also dangerous thing to do
What are you supposed to make of the media with so many proven outright lies, falsehoods, misrepresentations, words taken out of context and not covering the entire issue. You see the “news” media believes that if they do not report it, it never happened. They can control what their readers and viewers know simply by choosing not to report it.
Here is another perfect example that started with Democratic candidate for President Joe Biden at a New York fundraiser last Tuesday when he spoke about former segregationist senators James Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia. He pointed to them as example of a time when Washington D.C. functioned more smoothly a generation ago compared to today’s “broken” hyper-partisanship.
Democrat Presidential Candidate Joe Biden stated:
We didn’t agree on much of anything
Joe Biden then described former Democrat Senator Talmadge, who was a prominent senators at the time when Biden was elected in 1972, as “one of the meanest guys I ever knew” due to his view on segregation.
Joe Biden then said that even in that Senate:
At least there was some civility. We got things done.
What happened when MSNBC’s anchor Kasie Hunt reported on those statements the next day? As reported by The Daily Caller Ms. Hunt stated:
Still to come Joe Biden references his relationships with two former Republican colleagues at an event in New York City. The only problem? They were both segregationists.
Republican segregationist, not Democrat segregationist.
Later in the day she did correct her mistake but by that time the planned and executed damage had already been done.
I understand that everyone makes mistakes but you cannot convince me with all the producers and researchers these national shows have that they did not know what Party the Senators were from.
Sounds like the “attacks” on the press are not so “stupid’ & dangerous”. The problem the “press” has is someone is finally directing the sunlight on their actions.
