Have you ever wanted to play football or know someone who does? Or perhaps you used to play in school or college and miss getting out on the gridiron? Now's your chance as the Battle Creek Assassins are currently looking to recruit players for their upcoming season.

A photo session will be held at Plato’s Closet in Battle Creek at 2:30 pm Saturday, March 23rd. Ten tryouts will take place beginning at 4:30 pm at Southwestern Academy at 390 South Washington in Battle Creek. Practices are held Saturday's from 5:00 to 7:00 pm until the first week of May at the same location. The first game of the season will be on Saturday, May 18th.

If you're interested in playing for the Battle Creek Assassins, call or text Co-owner James Kelly Jr. at (313)-283-7147. You must 18-years-old to play or if you are 17, you can play with parental consent.

The Assassins are a local Semi-Pro football organization, founded in the fall of 2016. Along with providing the Cereal City with its own brand of local football, the team also gets involved with great things in their community and surrounding areas. They often join efforts to raise money to help local families and provide support back to the city of Battle Creek.

You can support the Battle Creek Assassins by attending home games, joining them at community events, and liking and sharing our social media pages to find out when their games are and what community events they will be participating in in 2019.
