Battle Creek’s Michigan Avenue Reopens In Downtown

It’s been a year since we’ve been able to drive without a detour along Michigan Avenue in downtown Battle Creek. But as of this weekend – it’s open for traffic again.

Conversion of the old Heritage Tower Building into the new Milton Battle Creek Apartments has reached a new stage.  Developers expect they’ll be welcoming new residents within just a few weeks. Initially, around 3 dozen or so units will be completed, and while those are being occupied, the rest of the 85 units in the building will be finished off. And for the thousands who drive around downtown Battle Creek every day, the reopening of Michigan Avenue is great news.
