The Battle Creek Bombers fell to the St. Cloud Rox 7-5 in game one of the Northwoods League Summer Collegiate World Series.  The series was delayed a day by rain in Minnesota on Wednesday.

The Bombers loaded the bases in the first inning but failed to score.  The Rox touched up KCC pitcher Zach Karbowski for four runs in the second and added one in the third to lead 5-0.

The Bombers scored five to tie the game in the seventh, but a St. Cloud scored twice in their half of the 7th off Ashton Knutson  for a 7-5 lead.

Battle Creek left the bases loaded in the 8th but couldn’t score.

Game two of the Summer Collegiate World Series comes to C.O. Brown Stadium tonight at 7:05 p.m.  If the Bombers win they’ll force a deciding game three at home on Saturday.
