Bridge in Marshall Closed, Inspections Coming

The City of Marshall have announced a closure of a bridge near one of their parks.

Around 3pm Tuesday, May 7^th, the Public Services department for the City announced that the bridge on South Marshall Street that runs over Rice Creek is closed. The closure does not effect entry into nearby Ketchum Park.

There has been no word on the sudden closure but it is an issue that will require inspections. We have reached out to the Public Services department for more information.

The Calhoun County Fairgrounds have alerted that this closure will force a detour to South Kalamazoo. The closure gives just one entrance into the fairgrounds from the south by using West Hughes Street, crossing in front of Hughes Elementary.
