It almost never happens, but Calhoun County is shutting down for two days.   Calhoun County Sheriff's Office Director of Emergency Management Durk Dunham says county officials spent most of the day discussing options for safety in the face of some extreme winter weather forecasts.

Due to predicted extreme weather conditions, Calhoun County Government, including the Courts will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 30th and Thursday, January 31st.  Buildings will reopen on Friday, February 1st.
