High School Football – Week 7 Action
We begin the final stretch of the Michigan High School Athletic Association's football regular season tonight. All area squads are in action in hopes of determining their postseason plans, including the playoffs.
While two city teams are finding ways to win the last two weeks, there are two others that have not fared as well with back-to-back losses.
Harper Creek and Climax-Scotts are the lone area squads still in the state rankings, supported by undefeated records. Harper Creek is also one of several area teams that are seeking conference titles in the next two weeks. They lead the Interstate 8 Conference by a game over Jackson Lumen Christi.
Other teams could wrap up their titles this week with wins. St. Philip heads to Waldron to wrap up yet another Southern Michigan 8-Man Conference title, while Climax-Scotts hosts Bellevue for a shot at their seventh-straight South Central Athletic Association title.
Finally in the Big 8, Quincy and Homer are tied atop the standings with Concord. Quincy and Concord square off in Jackson County tonight, while Homer makes their way to Union City.
Here's a look at all of this week's action!
