We kicked off the Boys Basketball postseason in Bellevue and caught a fantastic game between two small schools in Calhoun County.

It was the lone contest at Bellevue High School in the Class D district Monday, as the St. Philip Fighting Tigers tangled with the Marshall Academy Griffons. The winner looked to advance to play Athens Wednesday. The end of the season would come too soon for the team that ended on the losing end.

It's just a first of many district games this week in the area. Monday night also saw the other four city teams in action and all on the road. It included Harper Creek's debut in Class A, Pennfield making a return to trip to Marshall in Class B, and the champs of the Big 8 at home in Class C in Quincy.
