HS Football Preview – Bearcats Back on the Prowl

After a year of firsts (or first in a long time) season, the Battle Creek Central Bearcats hope to come back to the playoffs for seconds.

Central clinched their first postseason bid in a decade, and followed it with a come from behind road victory over the Trojans of Middleville Thornapple Kellogg. That win was their first in the postseason in 14 years.

The Bearcats will now look to earn back-to-back postseason bid for the first time since 2007 and 2008 (the end of a five-year postseason run). Like last year, they will see the St. Joseph Bears to begin the season.

Tonight's Game of the Night preview is below, along with the complete Week 1 schedule. This season starts a week later than usual, and their are three contests taking place on Friday.
