Coaches emphasize the importance of playing a full four quarters in football. It's all about playing consistently over a 48-minute span while being able to change the game plan at the right time.

In our Game of the Night, it was a tale of two halves as the St. Philip Fighting Tigers and the Bellevue Broncos were able to achieve their goals on the field. Only one team was able to achieve the ultimate goal in the end with a victory.

All the area teams were in action on Friday, with four teams in action before the normal 7pm start, due to potential health risk with mosquitoes after multiple cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis in Southwest Michigan. Those games included Battle Creek Central's road game at Portage Central, Quincy's road game at Reading, and the home contests for Delton and Galesburg-Augusta.
