Man Allegedly Robs People Trying To Sell Video Games Online
A Kalamazoo area man is in jail, after he allegedly lured people to an apartment complex to be robbed.
MLive reports that the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office that the first incident was reported around 11am Friday, where a victim told authorities that had gone to the Evergreen South Apartments in Oshtemo Township to sell video game-related items, in a transaction organized on Facebook.
When the sale was supposed to happen, the suspect implied he had a gun and robbed the would-be seller of his items. Two more similar calls were reported within hours, with those victims reporting the suspect was seen with a gun.
A search of the apartment complex was then conducted by authorities, where the stolen property was found, and a 22-year-old man was arrested on an unrelated warrant; charges related to the robberies are expected.
