La Niña will more than likely mean above average show fall here in Michigan between December 2017 and February 2018.

According to weather.com,

La Niña is the periodic cooling of the equatorial eastern and central Pacific Ocean. When sea-surface temperatures are cooler than average by at least 0.5 degrees Celsius, along with consistent atmospheric indications, a La Niña is considered to be in place.

The simple breakdown is as follows.  The Northern U.S. can expect below average temperatures and above average moisture.

West Michigan enjoyed a warmer, milder winter last year than average.  We may make up for that this Winter.

Am I the only one that's kind of ready for a "real" winter?
