Michigan Yooper's Have One Of The Sexiest Accents?

Well this is a very interesting and a somewhat perplexed unscientific study performed and released by Big7Travel. Perhaps it is just a way for this website to garner publicity such as I am giving them.

Well, let us have some fun with it.

This site ranked the top 50 sexist accents in the United States and Michigan’s Yoopers came in 14^th place.

If you have traveled much around this great country you have encountered many different dialects. This dialects originated from the immigrants that ended up living in the different parts of the United States.

Big7Travel stated they took a sample survey of 1.5 million people on their site to determine where they found the sexiest dialects in the U.S.

The site stated the following about our Michigan Yooper’s accent:

Yoopernese’ is the dialect you’ll hear in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The accent is heavily influenced by the area’s Scandinavian immigrants, so they say ‘yah’ instead of yeah, “d” for “th” (“dere” for there, “dat” for “that”) and ‘eh’ at the end of most sentences

Can you believe Michigan’s Yooper accent ranked above the accents of Alabama, Tennessean, Oklahoma, Western, and Midwestern, which was ranked 16th.
